About Adelaide Oval

Adelaide Oval is widely regarded as one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the world. Established in 1871 and beautifully redeveloped in recent years, it blends heritage features such as the historic scoreboard and St Peter’s Cathedral backdrop with a modern stadium.

The ground hosted the first-ever day-night Test, played with the pink ball, in 2015, and has since become the traditional home of Australia’s day-night Test cricket.

Known for its true batting surface and even bounce, Adelaide Oval offers something for batters, seamers and spinners as a match progresses, and is a firm favourite with players and supporters.
