Verify before we publish
Before a story goes live, our team checks the facts against reliable sources. We prioritise primary information — official statements from cricket boards and teams, recognised statistical data providers, and verified live match data — over social media chatter or unconfirmed reports.
Match data & statistics
Live scores, scorecards, standings and player statistics are sourced from our data partners and updated as matches progress. Where data providers and official records differ, we note the discrepancy rather than presenting a single unverified figure as fact.
Rumours & speculation
Transfer talk, selection speculation and breaking claims are labelled as such and attributed to their source. We do not present rumours as confirmed news. If a claim cannot be reasonably verified, we hold the story until it can be.
When we get it wrong
No process is perfect. If we publish something inaccurate, we correct it promptly and transparently in line with our Corrections Policy.
