Big Bash League 2014/2015
About Big Bash League
The Big Bash League (BBL) is Australia’s marquee Twenty20 competition, launched in 2011 and played through the southern-hemisphere summer.
Eight city-based franchises contest a long home-and-away season before the finals, with matches staged across Australia’s major stadiums during the December and January holiday window. The BBL is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, big crowds and television-friendly scheduling.
The league has introduced several format innovations over the years — including the Power Surge, the X-Factor substitute and Bash Boost points — designed to keep games unpredictable. It remains a popular destination for overseas T20 specialists alongside Australia’s internationals and emerging talent.
On this page you can follow the BBL points table, full fixtures and results, the eight franchises and the season’s leading run-scorers and wicket-takers.
