About BCCI
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the national governing body for cricket in India, responsible for the Indian national teams, domestic competitions and the Indian Premier League.
Founded in 1928 and headquartered in Mumbai, the BCCI is the richest and one of the most influential cricket boards in the world. It selects and runs the India men’s and women’s teams, organises domestic competitions such as the Ranji Trophy, and owns the Indian Premier League (IPL), the sport’s biggest franchise tournament.
As a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in the Asia region, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) represents India in world cricket. It oversees the India men and India women teams, and organises domestic competitions such as Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Duleep Trophy, and manages major tournaments including Indian Premier League (IPL) and Women's Premier League (WPL).
