About Lord's
Lord’s in London is known the world over as the Home of Cricket. Opened at its current site in 1814 and owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), it is the most famous cricket ground on earth and a place every player dreams of performing at.
Lord’s is celebrated for its distinctive features — the iconic Pavilion and its Long Room, the futuristic Media Centre, the Honours Boards, and the famous slope of around two and a half metres across the playing surface that subtly influences swing and seam.
The ground has hosted more men’s and women’s World Cup finals than any other venue and remains the headquarters of MCC, custodians of the Laws of the game.

Pitch & Conditions
The famous slope of around two and a half metres across the square aids swing and seam, helping bowlers from both ends in different ways. Overhead conditions can make batting tricky, but the outfield is quick in the sun.
