About Cobham Oval (New)

The Kennington Oval in south London, usually known simply as The Oval, is one of England’s most historic grounds. It staged England’s first home Test match in 1880 and traditionally hosts the final Test of the English summer.

The Oval is the home of Surrey County Cricket Club and is famous for its true, pacey pitch and large, open playing area framed by the landmark gasholders.

It has been the setting for many defining moments in English cricket, including the 1882 match that gave rise to the Ashes legend.
