Washington Sundar Ruled Out of England ODI Decider, Harsh Dubey Named as Replacement

India have suffered a setback ahead of the series-deciding third ODI against England after all-rounder Washington Sundar was ruled out with a right hamstring injury. The BCCI has confirmed that Harsh Dubey has been added to the squad as Sundar's replacement for the Lord's clash.

According to the board, Sundar will undergo further medical evaluation, including scans, before consulting a specialist to determine the next course of treatment.

The injury occurred during India's batting innings in the second ODI at Cardiff. Sundar appeared uncomfortable after hurting his right hamstring, requiring treatment on the field before completing a brief stay at the crease. He did not return to the ground while England chased the target.

Harsh Dubey, a left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder, comes into the squad as India's replacement option. His inclusion gives the team management another spin-bowling all-round choice, although Axar Patel already occupies a similar role in the playing XI after his impressive all-round display in the opening ODI.

With Sundar unavailable, India now face an important selection decision for the Lord's decider. The team could either include Dubey to maintain the all-round balance or hand Kuldeep Yadav his first appearance of the England tour to strengthen the spin attack.
