Cricinnings Strikers Innings

Cricinnings Strikers were bowled out for 128 in 23.2 overs after opting to bat first against a disciplined DU 11 bowling unit at KD Sports Club, New Delhi.

The innings never gained full momentum as regular wickets kept the Strikers under pressure throughout. Rudra was the top scorer, playing a steady knock of 38 runs off 45 balls, including six boundaries, but lacked support at the other end.

Aditya Bhutani contributed a useful 20 off 16 balls, while Onkar scored 11 from 26 deliveries before being stumped. Deepankar Sundriyal added 11, Rakesh Jha chipped in with 6, and Vipin Kumar Jha managed 5, but most batters failed to convert starts.

Kamlesh (wk) was run out for 1, Sanju007 was run out for a duck, while Gagandeep Singh (3) and Vikas Tiwari (1) also fell cheaply. Captain Mak remained unbeaten on 2, as extras played a big role, contributing 30 runs to take the total to 128.

DU 11’s bowling attack was sharp and consistent, led brilliantly by Sonu PB, who produced a match-winning spell of 5 overs, 18 runs, and 4 wickets, breaking the backbone of the Strikers’ batting.

Kailash Singh Rawat was equally impressive, picking up 2 wickets for just 8 runs in 2.2 overs, while M.S.R. returned economical figures of 1 for 18 from 5 overs. Harish Singh Rawat claimed 1 wicket, and Bhuvan Rawat bowled tightly, conceding only 10 runs in 4 overs, ensuring the Strikers never escaped the squeeze.

Girish was the only wicket to fall, dismissed for 0, caught by Kamlesh off Gagandeep Singh. From there, Kailash Singh Rawat took complete control, remaining not out on 59 from 49 balls, striking seven fours and one six, and anchoring the chase with maturity.

Wicketkeeper Deepak Rawat (Dipu) stayed unbeaten on 11 off 11 balls, calmly finishing the match alongside Rawat.

Cricinnings Strikers’ bowlers struggled to defend the small total despite honest efforts. Gagandeep Singh picked up the lone wicket, conceding 17 runs in 2 overs, while Vipin Kumar Jha bowled 3 overs for 22 runs.

Rakesh Jha was the most economical, giving away 20 runs in 4.5 overs, and Deepankar Sundriyal, Mak, Vikas Tiwari, and Rudra also rotated through the attack but were unable to apply sustained pressure as DU 11 cruised to victory.

Overall, it was a clinical all-round performance by DU 11, highlighted by Sonu PB’s four-wicket haul, Arjun’s aggressive fifty, and Kailash Singh Rawat’s unbeaten match-winning knock, as they sealed a convincing 9-wicket win over Cricinnings Strikers.
